    Project Overview
Sprint's new 22-building World Headquarters Campus in Overland Park, Kansas, consolidates Sprint offices that had been located throughout the greater Kansas City area.

Management Alternatives (M/A) was charged with developing the organizational framework for the overall relocation process, including the Strategic Move Management Plan and the management of Tactical Move Management activities. We tailored our proprietary Move Management process to fit the needs and corporate culture of Sprint. M/A developed the overall Relocation Schedule to include programming, new furniture procurement, and move sequence activities, and we worked closely with the Sprint Occupancy Support Team to manage the reassignment of existing furniture and equipment and coordinate the integration of new furniture.

Web-Based Management and Proven Proprietary Tools
M/A served as the project Dockmaster, managing the schedule of all occupancy-related vendor deliveries to the buildings. Using a Web-based scheduling tool, we coordinated deliveries with the construction activities, prioritized deliveries according to the agreed-upon project needs, issued confirmations to vendors to access reservations for scheduled deliveries, and used best efforts to resolve scheduling conflicts according to project priorities.

To accomplish the critical task of tracking personnel and assets throughout multiple moves, M/A prepared a furniture and equipment reuse/reallocation plan for each building to maximize reuse and distribution of existing furniture. By utilizing our proprietary Asset Tracking Database (ATD), we tracked the sequencing and assignment of assets and equipment throughout the moves. Using AutoCAD, we also provided furniture, fixture and equipment layouts of spaces for departmental support spaces, as well as for vice president and director offices.

M/A helped to procure the services of multiple moving companies throughout the project. For each move, we managed the activities of selected moving companies, provided an on-site team to supervise every move phase and staffed Post-Move Welcome Desks to resolve outstanding issues. In addition, we were responsible for compiling the Post-Move Punch List and working with the mover to resolve any claims.

M/A directed the Move Coordinator program, which managed the relocation of approximately 3,000 people into 800,000 square feet of space, throughout each of the five phases of the project.
